I completed my 10-block commute to my new job on Monday, without any event, besides the fact I got a flat. So I walked it home.
Tuesday, I looked out the window, and with the snow/rain mix and being unsure about parking my bike inside my new office, I decided to walk. It was horrible. So slow. On my way to meet Maynard after work for coffee, I stopped by my place and got my bike, even though it was only five blocks to the coffee shop.
I just can't do it. I'm not a walker. One day a week, maybe. But that's it.
Side note: My point-and-shoot camera died on me a couple weeks ago, or I would have had a sweet shot of a homeless guy's shopping cart parked in the bike lane on 16th Avenue this morning. You know the one, if you live in Capitol Hill -- it's the one with about a hundred plastic bags full of stuff tied to the outside of it.
