Miles on the clock

My employer pays $.455 per mile for miles driven on the job, and I've brought up before that I don't get paid to ride my bike around on the clock. Today, I had to come into the office for an interview, head to the zoo, swing by my house for lunch and head back to the office, effectively getting about 7 miles ridden on the clock, not counting the 1.3 miles I biked on my initial commute.
I think I might argue that I don't actually need to be reimbursed for bike mileage, as long as The Man is cool with me cranking off miles on the clock. It was pretty much its own reward today.
