Correction: You CAN give away a bike helmet in this town

I've been thinking for a while about writing an entry about how I hang my helmet from my bike frame, unlocked, pretty often in lots of different neighborhoods throughout Denver, and it never, never gets stolen. I don't even worry about someone touching it, because nobody wants a bike helmet.
Well, in a bizarre twist, somebody out there now has my dinged-up, over-stickered BMX helmet. It was early in the morning, neither of us had had any coffee, and we were kind of in a hurry. My buddy left my helmet sitting somewhere in front of my apartment building as we drove off, and 12 hours later, it was gone.
I'm not mad. I'm not saying I should be able to expect people to not touch my stuff when I leave it sitting out unattended in Capitol Hill for an entire Sunday; I'm just saying that someone did actually take a bike helmet that wasn't theirs, in Denver.
Also, if you see someone riding around wearing a blue BMX helmet with an "Attack Colfax" sticker on the back of it, that's it.
