A couple weeks ago I took on a second job. This job isn't all that far away, about 6 miles. But during the last two weeks, I have not ridden my bike to this job once. I've been doing something that I hate; driving. I have been rationalizing this driving to myself quite well. I tell myself "the roads in that area are just too busy to bike on" or "I just don't have the time to justify riding a bike". Well, I'm happy to say that I finally rode my bike to this job today, and it was fantastic. I got there quicker than I thought I would, I found a route that felt safe, and I arrived at work feeling refreshed and good about myself. I will continue to bike to this job in the future and leave my car alone!
