A lady walks off a sidewalk

This afternoon about 4:10 p.m., I'm riding east on 16th between Broadway and Lincoln. My light at Lincoln turns green at almost perfect timing, and a lady, early 50s, business skirt suit, turns to cross right in front of my bike (and against the light, which will get her run over by much bulkier things than my Trek). I say, "Yo yo!" as friendly as I can, and she jumps back onto the curb. I was so close I could have stuck my elbow out and tapped her without taking my hands off the handlebars. Civil, yet effective.
Hey, I didn't say it was a particularly good story.
