I can handle cold; it's the ice that makes me nervous.

Wednesday was the first full-on winter conditions I've had this season. My commute, which takes me west on 12th Ave. from Cheesman Park to Lincoln, covered several of stretches of packed snow and thin ice. Definitely a lot of iffy places for me on road tires. I only saw one other cyclist on my way to work, and he was a messenger. Made it to work without dumping it.
